HFT Bluetooth problem I'm after some advice. I have a Sony Ericson W910i with the Honda HFT system. I can recieve calls OK I can make calls via the voice activation but when I select a stored number on the hand set it dials through the handset only. Is there a fix for this or is the phone just not compatible with the car? Does anyone ...

My Sony K800i works fine with my Honda HFT system, it's just the fact that I can't speak French! and that seems the only language it understands at the moment!!! and not Yorkshire! Honda should supply a phrase book

You have to press the sounds button on the handset and transfer to HondaHFT.

Unknownsoldier replied 1 year, 8 months ago
AFAIK, mine doesn't do the transfer thingy. Tom

I have just found out from my dealer that Honda have deliberately designed the HFT not to dial out on bluetooth when a number is selected. Also you cannot bluetooth your phonebook to the HFT and you cannot view it on any display. You will have to enter every number manually with a voice tag attached to it. - This sucks. Anyone got any suggestions?

Dial the number before you get in the car, then say 'redial'. Tom

there is no way to transfer your phone phonebook to the Civ, other than by manually reading them out one by one which isn't great And yes, if you dial from your phone then some phones auto transfer the call to the HFT (think my D900 does), but most don't. 'redial' is indeed the way to go and Tom says, or similar to mrh, you can press the steering wheel HFT button and say...

I haven't try it yet but if you press talk button and say "tranfer" then the call from the phone will be transfered to HFT and vice a versa

For anyone who want's to make a call from the phone, just make the call from the phone and after 4-5 seconds (not immedately after making the call) push the talk button and say "transfer" and the call will be tranferred to HFT .

Hi All, I have recently purchased a 2008 Civic 1.8 EX 5 Door which comes with SATNAV & HFT as standard. Have been reading alot of threads and been trying to see if there is a way to update the system so that all the advertised advanced features on the Honda Handsfree website can become available to us. The current system is so basic and crap that theres no point having. If i had known ...

Any news on that? My GF has a 2008 Civic and a Nokia 6300 and the same dial problems. Can someone confirm, that at least the "transfer" workaround works? Who the hell had the stupid idea, that you can't sync you phone book with the HFE? Someone with several hundred numbers gets insane when trying to use the voice control (which frankly is crap)

We both have Sony Ericson k770i everything works fine. Got both phones paired to HFT no problems. Took a while to get bluetooth in Discovery mode. It works well on out going and in-coming calls. Can dial from phone book and saying tel No's via voice commands on both phones. Managed to follow the hand book instructions. Must be lucky I quess Best of look with it mate

Yours will be a 2009 car hence why it downloads your phonebook, any cars 2008 and older cannot do this (including most 09 plate cars as they are 2008 models)
