Thanks for the thread. I just want to clarify some things. He wired the factory input wires to a SVEN4 then to his aftermarket amp, then to the speakers with crossovers inline to split the full range. correct?
If i do purchase an aftermarket amp and install my aftermarket HU, can i just run RCA straight to my amp, then to crossovers then to the stock wires that go out to the speakers? ...

lots of questions....
so right now you only want to put in your old head unit in place of the stock one?
if that's the case, you can get a wiring harness to interface it with the stock amp, but you'll also need a line output converter to turn the unbalanced head unit output to balanced, then feed that down the line from the harness to the amp in the trunk.
you will not be able to power...
