Lately I've been noticing that my piloting skills are being needed more and more and I guess im competent but If I'm up against someone who really knows what they are doing then I usually get destroyed. Before anyone says anything related to "You have to practice, practice, practice, practice!" I get it, but I need some tips like how to do barrel rolls or other evasive maneuvers. I was also ...
There are quite a few threads dealing with this already. The top pilots are using v.sensitive mouse settings. You can also use arrow keys. If you want to understand evasive maneuvers, jump in a gunship and flip upside down, then try and right yourself. Basically flip every which way you can think of, and you'll start to understand what you can do in a dogfight.
Tip: Full power and nose down (...
I made this just for personal use/reference on Word (I know, total dork) so it may be a bit hazy, but you should get the general ideas.
FAKE-OUT:
FLY UP HIGH (200+ FEET), BAIL OUT OF THE GS, WAIT FOR IT TO FALL BACK AND THEN WHEN WANTED ENTER THE GS AGAIN. DON’T LET THE GS HIT YOU HARD WHEN FALLING OR IT WILL KILL YOU.
QUICK TURN:
PRESS ARROW KEY TO GO WHATEVER WAY YOU WANT, BUT AT THE ...

You reckon you could pull that off?
Oooohhhhh yeah. I get SOOOO lucky that way. Maybe for someone who doesn't think by now that they're being protected by every deity in existence, then you should go up a little higher, but I have done it before. I believe my lowest on record was 130 feet or so when I bailed, but I got back in at about 30 feet and JUST pulled up in time to survive.
Note: MUCH easier to do with the Doragon, the EU...

Hmm, I'm not sure I agree. The only times I can think of as being shot down/EMPed by an AA or SAAW were when I was below the fog. The AAs sights cannot penetrate (see through I mean) the fog so you're relatively safe there. Then again, you probably have WAY more experience so I'll just back down here :P
I think I had 90k as of last November, so I haven't been playing much for about a year. Weekends at the GF's, work and class are taking up all my time. Oh and our servers run Windows Server 2008, BR doesn't work with 2008.

Yea I can tell that Ct is telling the truth about the pac gs shield, and the Talon is much more Maneuverable then the doragan, I whould say the talon is much much better caouse you can use the speed as an advantage and the accelerate everytime you attacking, it makes your opponent to break everytime else the missiles will go threw. It dosent matter if its an normal pilot who is flaying the talon and really know how the talon works and faceing...

Also, the Doragon will always lose...
