I switched to Slip 2000 about 7yrs ago! I also use there choke & gas piston cleaner, if you type in Slip 2000 and do a google search there site does side by side tests of other gun lubes.

My results with FP-10 have been fine, but unimpressive. It's not any better then Breakfree CLP for lubrication (as far as I'm concerned), and CLP is a whole lot better as a rustproofer. Plus you can buy CLP a lot more places than FP-10, including Wal-Mart. If you want a one-product does it all (and does almost everything better than most other products), go with CLP.

G-96 has a synthetic oil out that recently passed military tests. One of the few that did. This is a new addition to their products and is different than their original CLP. It's supposed to be better than FP-10. I heard one of the tests was dust. No doubt in response to Iraq conditions. The first FP-10 that the Canadians tested flunked. Shooters Choice submitted a better product that was better but as many stated, isn't the best for...

I do a lot of field hunting for geese in areas that are typically dusty/sandy, and have had issues with CLP becoming "gummy"....
