I'm so proud of myself, I went to the Conroe gun show this past weekend and DIDN'T BUY A GUN!
First time all year I've done that, gone to a gun show and didn't come home with yet another weapon. Too bad really since gun prices are down, lots of AKs for under $500 now. Ammo prices are still high.
Out of the Houston area gun shows I like the one in the Astrohall the best. Lots of war ...

So I guess the only difference between buying a gun at a show and a pawn shop is the 30 day waiting period? What about background checks? What other differences are there? I've never been to a gun show before but always wanted to, just didn't have the money.
My brother just picked up a Taurus 44 special stainless revolver with a 3 inch barrel for 250 bucks in a person to person sale. The ammo is expensive, but the round is definitely a man stopper. He's going to be looking for a leather, on the hip holster for it. Any suggestions? He's also going to pick up a few speed loaders for it. Shoots real sweet and hasn't the recoil of the magnum, which makes...
