This is a completely ridiculous exaggeration: <<These are the highest levels of unemployment for these groups since the Great Depression.>> Anyway, I do agree Obama has punted. He's trying too hard to listen to the Republicans, i.e., the party of No. So, the Obama administration has stopped spending the money Congress agreed to in Obama's stimulus package. Obama's administration has only ...
This is my real problem with the far right or even republicans for that matter. The name of this thread is "Great News." That is truly unbelievable. Great news that there's so much unemployment? Great news that the economy is not springing back quickly enough? Great news that Americans, republicans and democrats and independents, are suffering as they've lost their jobs, homes - whatever...
>>> All this so Barack Obama can be slammed? To hell with the country? No, you've got it backwards. Because of "all this" Obama AND the Dems DESERVE to be slammed for their inept and corrupt handling of the "stimulus"...and we're only too happy to point out that ineptitude and corruption and help with the slamming.
Yes, I noticed that; and the far right is just too dense to know that since he is the President of this country, and especially when it comes to things affecting the economy, if WHATEVER he and the democrats attempt to do fails, then we all fail.
Wake up. There is no republican calvery over the crest of the hill; and even if they were, they're the ones who got us where we are. As ...
"He's trying too hard to listen to the Republicans"
LOL Really? It's some of the Dems bailing on him. You better start with blaming them first.
"the Obama administration has stopped spending the money Congress agreed '
Sorry to break it to you, but very little in the stimulus package was going to create many jobs. Like the over $200k to a college professor to study the sex lives of ...
"All this so Barack Obama can be slammed? To hell with the country?"
There was very little money in the stimulus bill to bring back many long lasting jobs. Obama has been the one speaking all over the world telling everyone how bad America is. He wants us more like Europe and they live with constant 10% unemployment. He trashes every company that make a profit, few are going to take ...
>>> Yes, I noticed that; and the far right is just too dense to know that since he is the President of this country, and especially when it comes to things affecting the economy, if WHATEVER he and the democrats attempt to do fails, then we all fail. Well, I can't account for what the "far right" knows, but this conservative, and probably most others, certainly understands that, which is why ...
It is apparent to anyone with half a brain that Obama followers are willfully as thick as a brick. They have an excuse for every screw up he makes, usually it's a republican's fault.
The guy could accidently drop a nuke on NYC, and they would still vote for him.
The scary thing is that he knows this and will use it. No doubt he and his handlers knew that the stimulus bill was just a pork ...
<<The "great news' is, it unemployment could be worse as a result of the stimulus bill....>> Can you explain how this can possibly be true? <<...And you can bet that it will be no better in 6 months.>> That I'll agree with only in that Obama refuses to spend the money in the stimulus bill to create jobs. Some time ago, he started listening to the cries of the...
Never, ever said I was glad somone was out of work - Never. I asked what if agzar's business went under, would he still be saying "Great News."? Oh, whatever.? I didn't start this "Great News" thread, and would never want anyone out of work - even the far right. And celebrating that someone said the effort to help the American people was not working is very, very bad.
So the US has no problems at the moment ? Who says ? The problems always appear insurmountable during an economic downturn. One of the realities of capitalism is far too many people do not plan for a down business cycle when times are GOOD, but end up blaming?capitalism when times are bad.
>>> LOL, I would love to see just one Republican come up with a tiny iota of a parcel of a solution to the US's many problems. We could start by getting rid of Obama and the Dem clown circus in Congress. >>> Criticism's easy. We have plenty of critics. We have an entire Network devoted just to criticism but offering no solutions, every single time yet another Republican is interviewed on...
I honestly believe the key to being a great speaker is being an even-better listener. You really can't be a great writer either, if you aren't?successful?with reading (comprehension). I'm always in training: ?practice, practice.
? I am very much concerned about workers and those who are in dire need but I tell you, the fact that the hog industry is derailed is really good news. It's a horrific industry.? Unspeakable cruelty, horrific pollution in rural areas, waste of food energy, creates superbugs (swine flu came from factory farms) and last but not least, animal ag jobs are horrible jobs...bloody, dirty, dangerous, disturbing,? you have to kill.? We'd...
