Thread: Graphic Artifact gets worse over distance? Any idea?

Hello, I have our game character here and she is having quite a bad graphical artifact from viewing her at an angle or at a long distance away. Looks a bit like you have a z fight going on. I notice that on her, err, crotch you can see the purple of her shirt coming through the grey of her pants. That makes me wonder if the entire model has multiple layers of triangles where it shouldn't.

You should bake the texture with a padding of at least 3 or 4 pixels ...

I baked a texture with a pixel border of 4... same problem: pixelborder4.png (96.1 KiB) Viewed 15 times Also when I turned on ATI graphics into performance mode and lowest quality every the result was a lot worse!

The problem is still the same, but the solution is what wacom mentioned, could it be, that everything which is not part of the texture is black? Just try to use your texture space as much as possible. And you should try to make seams less obvious, could you post your uvw map?
