Why doesn't Granada Reports just have no news at all and simply ask people to randomly answer questions by way of a 25p text.
Has it got to the stage these days that when there is no news, people have to con the public out of texting in to keep the show going?

What a disgrace Granada Reports was last night.
OK, for those who follow Football, a famous footballer crashed his car. Sure it's going to make the news, but comments like 'we got our reporter to the scene first' and to then see the reporter waving the number plate around like it was some sort of trophy was a joke.
Is this news? Is this sensitive? Would this have been done with Diana's...
