After I lost my last iPod, I wanted to buy a Creative Zen, which RSS introduced me to and is badass. As you might imagine, it's not sold in Sparkle. So I settled for a iPod. Fast-forward 1.5 years and it has become my third broken iPod. This one's out of warranty, and I'd have to pay $30 just to talk to a service rep about it, but I'm confident it's unrepairable. No more iPods for me. But I ...
My iRiver e10 is incredibly durable. I've put it through a lot of abuse and it still works just fine. I doubt that they sell that model anymore, and it's capacity is too small for your needs, but I'm sure they sell a newer model that's just as tough. The software for the computer side and the OS on the player itself can both be selected to use English. I highly recommend iRiver. If you knew ...
I have an old iPod from Korea that I bought in 2004, an iPod Nano I bought here in 2006, and my awesome iPhone that I bought in March--never had a glitch or a twitch with any of them. User error.

I've got a little iRiver thing that isn't very good, but the last iRiver I had (a 20gb one) was a solid piece of kit. I like iRivers, generally speaking, but the little one I have is just too budget to be worth bothering with. I've also got a Samsung YEPP mp3 player, which I really like. It's only got a small capacity (1GB) but interface is great and the sound is great. Plus, when it fucked ...

The iRiver models are 2/4/8 GB from what I can find on their websites. The E50 is small and has flac support but received some bad reviews for sound quality, proprietary encoding of videos, and a small screen. The Samsung YH-J70SB (catchy name) has a 20 GB capacity but apparently weighs three pounds. That's an insane weight for something that you're supposed to carry around in your pocket. ...
I want something with 80 GB+ capcity. My last IPod had 80 GB but I lost it and it was my third one. Is there anything like that in Korea? If not I will have to wait til I go back to the States for Christmas.
a. Do you have to update the firmware often and is this a pain in the ass? No, but if there is an update you should do it. There's a D2 forum where you can find out the easiest way to do it if ur unfamiliar w/ updating firmware. It's easy. b. Have you ever had a problem with corrupt database? Never, sometimes a corrupt music file, but nothing you can do about that but delete the file and find...

I got the Cowon D2 last week. There are some good points and bad points about it, but I'd say overall I'm disappointed in it. The interface isn't very intuitive. It takes several minutes to figure out how to get to the list of artists, and even once you've figured it out it's a hassle going through the various buttons you have to precision tap with your fingernail. The program it comes with is terrible. It's not...

The sound is fantastic. Still trying to figure out the whole UCI thing to get the options the way I...
- It doesn't save the location of the song you're listening to if you pause it and come back to it later. Mine does just that you can turn that function on in the options - It's impossible to fastforward or rewind with precision. get a theme that allows you to do all those things and more on the touch screen Read and search this forum: http://iaudiophile.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=53

another satisfied ipod owner here. sometimes wish they had a radio in them though - but my mobile phone has that so i'm ok. why the need for such a lot of storage though? my ipod nano is only 4 gig but i never fill it. i change the music on it at least once a week. i suppose it could be useful if you are travelling all the time. my next i-device will probably be a shuffle - i like the tiny size. am tempted by the iphone, but accounts for...
iRiver H300 family. I don't think they're sold anymore, but u can get them used. I outgrew the 20GB capacity on mine, and since I'm a geek I upgraded the hard disk so that I have about 70GB capacity. Haven't hit the limit yet. Don't need any software, just copy as an external hard disk. It can be a USB host, too, so you can copy to another player without needing a computer. Radio, too.
