Allow your sister to handle things regarding your mother while you are away. You are both on the same page ans support each other when it comes to your mother's care, so just let go of the need to control the situation and trust her to handle things for a couple weeks. To address your concerns about the cell phone, can't you just temporarily sign up for the international call service for short term? I did this several years ago for my husband that had to go to Norway for family emergency. Or find out if any of the 25 others might have the service on their phone, and give their number to family. Just be calm, there is pretty much a solution to everything!

Just breath. You are going to have a blast on that trip. Took it a couple of yrs ago. Way too much fun. If something happens your sister can handle it.
