Heard a radio spot for this company, today:
http://survivalseedbank.com/
The spot was telling people that the "elites" were actively stockpiling non-hybrid seeds in secret locations near the arctic circle and that such seeds where gonna be better than silver or gold as an investment.
Wonder if I can buy seeds inside my IRA...

Jesus was a pacifist who cared about his fellow travelers, and we could use more of those. However, when people confuse beliefs with facts, and start assuming their particular fictions are universal truths, problems start. When they then decide that everyone should accept their...

I don't think race was the main reason Obama got elected. As a rhetorician, Obama is unparalleled in this political climate. He's eloquent, intelligent and politically savvy--and after all, that's what we require from our elected leaders. Having said that, his one flaw rhetorically (in my opinion) is his inability to bridge that gap between well-spoken public leader and the down home, guy next door kind of comfortableness that...
On the other hand, I believe twelve-step programs are inherently harmful, especially but not only because of their low long-term (and in some cases short-term) success rates. Professionals generally aren't involved, and there's a reason for that. The mixup with religious belief makes them resemble NRMs. But I guess that's a topic for another thread. More on-topic, I have known both those who are religiously flexible and those...
