Sure, you can include the vbseo core and wrap them in the vbseo_any_url() function. see #7: vBSEO Functions for Extensibility

We have a number of outside-the-forums sections of the site that link to forum threads/posts.
With vbSEO now installed, its more difficult to link to these pages unless we have them get redirected via the original forum URLs.
Are there any core files/function calls we can make to generate these vbSEO -compatible URLs?

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the link - looking through it now. One of my immediate concerns is only passing the URL - which means additional queries to look up thread information I already have. Any way I can pass the necessary thread information to generate the URL?

you should use vbseo_thread_url_row($threadrow, $pagenum) function for that.
