Thread: Gateway Tech Support - FX6801-01 - Add ...

I got my new Gateway about a week or so ago. Since that time I have had occasion to "chat" with tech support four times. Not worth the effort. The resources on this forum are infinitely better, so now I ask help once again. Does anyone really offer GOOD technical support anymore? I hate to show my age, but I can remember when you could call tech support and actually get answers. It's ...

You are correct, there is a metal "plate" that covers the opening where the drive goes. Usually if you twist the plate, the tabs will break off and you'll have use of the opening. As long as you don't bend the chassis itself getting the plate off, you should be fine. Usually, they come off fairly easily.
