Re: GOOD hair salon
Hi girls, i am contemplating on cutting my hair short! =O I've never had short hair in my life so I am a little terrified but my hair is so thinned out and damaged from a series of bad haircuts and Japanese straightening...it has no style whatsoever :( Can someone recommend a stylist who will give me a chic short haircut?...
My slylist is very good. Her name is Diana Saguri. My family has been going to her since she worked at Raymonds. I followed her to another place in Steveston and now she's working in Kitsilano. She has been doing hair for many years. She currently works at Seville Hair Salon and she's experienced with the lastest trends (she was on TV). Check her out. Oh..her cell number is 604-817-1088.
I wanna get my hair done in a style sorta like victoria beckham/hebe from SHE... and i'm thinking of either going to mentor in metro, or zeal at aberdeen.
Would that be a good idea? i've never been there, (nor have i really ever got a haircut i was happy with/ although i never spent more than $20 anyways)
anyone recommend a stylist?

In about two weeks I have a color and cut appointment at Zeal in Aberdeen.
I let them choose what ever stylist since it is my first time.
Anyone have bad/good experiences to share?
Probably should have told the receptionist that I will require bleaching for my roots and that I will be having my long hair cut to short....hopefully it won't make too much of a difference assuming that all ...
Random question but what do you guys do when you have a long hair appointment and your stomach starts to rumble- Stash a granola bar in your shirt? Impolite but hunger can't be helped.
^ I dont really have a salon to recommend, but definately dont do it at home unless you are brave enough to face the chance of having black-er hair. I just dyed my hair today, with a "golden brown" from Garnier, and now my hair is even blacker than it was before. >

^ depends on how satisfied you are. if you don't like it, don't tip. if it's okay, i'd say tip $5. if you really like it, i've seen anywhere from $10-$20. personally, i usually tip $5.
I just got my haircut at Caramel Salon (Granville and West Broadwayish) and I have to say I love it! I looked all over the internet for reviews and it was mixed...either really good or really bad =/ I almost cancelled because I was hesitant but I went and must say I'm in love with my bob. I had a bob done before once at Rain Salon (same area) which was beautiful, I had it redone by Kenji at Chura - wasnt as nice honestly but not bad and...
