DETROIT – A strong performance by GM's four core brands -- Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac -- resulted in GM U.S. October sales of 177,603 vehicles, up 4 percent from last October, the company's first year-over-year gain since January 2008. Total sales...
ONLY 5,000 COBALTS WERE SOLD?
GM had better un-delay the Cruze.
Volkswagon moved more than 4000 diesel units in October. Shouldn't GM at least consider a diesel vehicle?
Saab car sales down 82% to 299 units. How are the dealers going to hold on until next April for the new 9-4x and 9-5?

The could be just the result of drained inventory following cash-for-clunkers.
The newer cars are looking good. They still need to get some of the older models out asap. Can't wait for a new Cruze and Impala. Good to see the Malibu sales are up overall and especially retail.
If GM's market share is up to 21% and their four "core" brands account for 95% of their retail sales, does this indicate that perhaps they are managing to keep a good share of the Pontiac, Saab, Hummer, and Saturn buyers?
Sure is good to finally see a y-o-y increase in sales!
Before all the sparring begins, I'd like to say that it is gratifying to see both Ford and GM increasing share.

That doesn't make what I said more or less important - there are people that don't care but accept what they see in the media as fact. You and I know what OHV engines can offer but we have car magazines touting the refinement of the OHC V6 engines in minivans. Quote: As has already been...

But that really way my point, why combine vehicle sales just because they are alike?

Isn't the four cylinder 2010 equinox a better vehicle than the V6 previous generation. It is my understanding that with direct injection the 182 hp four cylinder motor is superior to the v6 in the previous generation equinox. I like the malibu better than the fusion..car of the year not withstanding.
