Thread: GE to close its only US solar fact.

Started 1 month ago by mas113m
Green Collar jobs here we come? While alternative energy may be a powerful new paradigm, I am increasingly convinced that it may not be America that will profit from it and that investors may need to look elsewhere. General Electric (GE) plans to close its only U.S. solar panel factory because production costs have exceeded sale prices.... ....Last week, Marlboro, Mass.-based ...

"No, I think you are betting that whatever results come will be good. The company already admitted the results were tainted." OK......so their price crash (ie WoW event) was waiting for the data to come in......OK. What happened to "this board is unreadable"?

What happened to "this board is unreadable"? All the people who were blathering on about political issues decided to ignore the person who challenged their positions, so the "exchanges" got shorter ... except when those people felt like patting each other on the back. Myself, I'd be happiest if is all just went away, but I can't quite resist pointing out things that deserve another ...

For Duma, off the 2008 report http://phx.corporate-ir.net/External.File?item=UGF yZW50SUQ9M... In September 2008 we announced positive results from our Trisomy 21 prenatal test studies using our proprietary RNA-based ccff SEQureDx technology. We reported that data from blinded studies involving 399 clinical samples collected prospectively showed that our proprietary test for Down ...

<<What happened to "this board is unreadable"?>> What happened to your dramatic Goodbye Forum? I skip 95% of the threads on this board because it is clear they are politicized, but I really feel no compulsion to explain myself to you.

Hey guys, go to the White House and have a beer with Obamaman! Denny Schlesinger

Fuma: Those are very impressive numbers...very impressive. One could see that this test would be the standard of care for perhaps all pregnancies of parents above age 30 or so where Downs may be greater risk (maybe even all pregnancies period). The risk of aminiocentesis is significant with even loss of baby so this test is a real winner from a mother's perspective as well. One that ...

OK.....but then you answered to one of my posts......thus again contradicting yourself....... Complain all you want....just as you did on the ISRG RB board that I left because of your successful rant that seeemd to squash open discourse (using ...

One that has to scratch one's head as to why this stock isn't sitting at $30. Duma No need to scratch your head, it's panic! Just buy some shares and forget about them for a while. Denny Schlesinger

well, as far as mr market is concerned, those are tainted numbers. But given that their RhoD test puts up similar numbers, and the fact that everyone in academia that uses this product gets phenomenal yield, we know better ;) Let me stay on academia for a minute, just to try and drive home how superior their technology is. For SNP analysis using the SQNM platform, it takes 1 week. ...

dumaflotchie replied 3 months, 1 week ago
In their annual report, SQNM states that circulating fetal DNA has sufficient yield at 12 weeks. Well, it certainly would have been more powerful had the sensitivity been before the end of the first trimester right? Without getting into the moral questions of terminating pregnancies, some parents would want this information known to them before the second trimester. Hence, some will...

Tamhas, That is of course the strategy of the Left, make the press portray the tea partiers as buffoons, so more stately "moderates" do not support them, thus splitting the Republican party. Meanwhile the Democrats have a Leftists in office who is uniting the party, although costing Democrats the more stately "moderates" and intend to remain in power because of the potential schism. That is indeed correct....

The other opportunity it suggests to me is to switch from iPhone to a phone usable on another network other than AT&T. I doubt this a problem of *internet* bandwidth, but of AT&T bandwidth in its cellular network prior to the points where it bridges to the internet.

Whenever you hear about someone trying to manage a scarcity......there is most likely opportunity. Look at this amazing statement from AT&T: http://www.impactlab.com/2009/12/10/att-to-urge-iphone-users... “What we are seeing in the U.S. today in terms of smartphone penetration, 3G data, nobody else is seeing in the rest of the planet,” Ralph de la Vega, president and chief executive for mobility and consumer markets at AT&T,...

I haven't investigated it but American Tower sounds pretty far away from NP, and lacking a moat is a competitive business. Is there any lock on a critical piece of technology? I suspect that wireless operators increase coverage reluctantly, since it's expensive and present customers tend to be locked in. Customers may not like the present carrier but really don't know if the next will be ant better. It's a local issue for...

XMFBreakerTinker: On the other hand, I am skeptical that procedure volumes have not taken off through the roof. Looking at between 1-3 procedures per week being done depending on the facility. Why would there not be at least 5 done a week, if not more if the technology so enhanced procedures. -4g networks / some other mobile internet breakthrough. My new droid blows away the iPhone in terms of internet speed. not as easy to use though. Quest Diagnostics is looking to increase international sales by a third every 6 months. I still like SQNM for the trisomy & HPV tests. Alt Energy, but its going to be a bumpy ride. IPCM, maybe? I'm also predicting MRI will be used for acute strokes in 20 years instead of CT scans but...

The NPI is ousting Obama brand of socialism in 2010 and in 2012 and keeping America safe from defeatist ideologies, be they socialism or pessimism.>>>> Good rhetoric, but who, of any political peruasion, will lead us to the promised land? Surely not anyone who vied for the top job in the last election.
