Thread: Future Releases of Adobe Ultra???

Does anyone know if Adobe will be releasing Ultra outside of the current bundle? I would like to purchase Ultra individually - has anyone heard if Adobe plans to offer this? Thanks!

I don't think Adobe has made its plans public on this front...I would say that it would fit nicely into PPro, which at the moment has rudimentary keying capabilities. The preview function would also be handy in OnLocation... I am a personal fan of Keylight in AE... I have used Ultra and had good results. It's certainly solid core technology. I'd doubt that Adobe has plans of just ...

I ahve been an Ultra fan since Serious Magic days but the fact that it's standalone and cannot be used as a plugging in a tileline, makes me lean towards Keylight in AF too. Hope this helps,, Danny Hays

I looked for Keylight, and cannot find where it can be purchased independently either. Do you know if I can purchase that program, without having to buy a large software bundle?

Keylight is made by The Foundry. http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/downloads.aspx It's a pluggin that needs a host NLE or compositor. It's comes with After Effects 7 or later I believe. You can purchace the pluggin for Avid, Final Cut Pro, Combustion, After Effects and several others. It is not a stand alone program if thats what your asking. There are some pretty good cheap keyers out there, ...
