Thread: Funniest part of the movie?

Started 1 year, 5 months ago by TalbainJ
For me, it was either during the Midget Protest song, when in the background you can clearly see modern-era cars driving behind the characters, or at the very end, with the split second cuts of Elvis holding a switchblade to Dewey's throat and Dewey's dad putting a revolver in his face. Last movies seen: WALL-E (A++)

"And you never paid for drugs. Not once." That line had me in hysterics. And each time he said it, I laughed harder. Life sucks. There's your lesson. Go enjoy it. - John McGuirk

UPDATED Wed Jul 23 2008 11:59:05 The Midget Protest Song XD The Beatles in India and the LSD cartoon sequence I found Dewey Cox's cover of "Starman" to be hysterical. I was laughing throughout the entire thing. I laughed when Nate was decapitated, and then when the lower half of his body fell down and he screamed, "Holy ****!"

The funniest scene was when Dewey meets Elvis for the first time and Elvis is ramblimg on about Kar-at-ay and talking nonsense and afterwards Dewey says "What the F&&k was he talking about?" __________________________ "Lets all go to the lobby"

Dude, then there's the line: "Then I'm gonna beat off...all my demons..." Pure genius, funny as hell. I also love the Beatles sequence The line about Charlie Manson The sequence where Dewey's accused of stealing from Bob Dylan The odd sequence where he runs through town in his underwear, flipping cars and of course, the debut of Walk Hard as a hit single.... This movie ...

Ohhh, I also loved the lines where Dewey was talking to the sheep and he was saying "Don't say bahh, I'm in the yard, say it like, BAHH, I'm a about to die!"... that cracked me up so much and it's also kind of sad. I also liked the part where Theo asked if anything seemed different about Dewey or if he seemed sad, and it cut to Dewey crying in the corner, and then Dave replies with something like...

I'm not sure if it was meant to be funny, but I laughed at the end when Dewey was done singing, a caption appeared saying "Dewey Died 3 minutes after this performance." and then shows a picture of him falling down. I found that hilarious. The shot of the man's penis and asks Dewey for his sandals. Whenever the black guy "warned" Dewey he couldn't do any drugs. Whenever his dad said...

When he went to confront his father towards the end and his dad was singing "the wrong kid died" as he raked up the hay.
