i went down towards the end of the day in turn 2 at willow. gear saved my life. put me in the same crash situation with no gear... my brains would have been all over the place,, and my body would have been in pieces.. but because of the gear,, and i went straight home to bed! no hospital visit( which i probably should have done)

Nice thread. My first bike was a cbr 600. I had it a total of 2 months before going through telegraph canyon for the first time. I was the second to last in my group and was keeping up pretty well. Well, the guy in front of me was new to riding as well. He took a turn to wide and put his back tire into the dirt throwing dirt and gravel all over the road in front of me. He managed to recover but I did the worst possible thing in this situation...
