DETROIT (AP) -- General Motors *** top executive said Thursday that the automaker could tap some of its $50 billion in U.S. government aid to help restructure GM's European Opel unit. The statement came as thousands of Opel workers walked off their jobs across Germany in protest of GM's decision to abandon the unit's sale to new owners. CEO Fritz Henderson said GM would use U.S. government money...
Fastlane1: Wow this dude is a big idiot. How in the world would he say the taurus has hard plastics and all that when he hasn't even driven one? He might want to kiss toyota's ass because he seems to have too much love for toyota. Seriously, Get a life man. Toyota.Lexus: I think you need to change your diapers. If you don't know how to read, I stated Motor Week reviewed the car ...
Question, if your head is up Toyota's ass, can you call anyone biased/a fanboy/a cheerleader? Anyway, I only brought up the Avalon to prove a point, and that point was proven.
Ford deserves this. They've been working non-stop to reduce there debt dramatically and they are going to continue with the same strategy. I'm sure we are going to see actual profit before there 2011 deadline.
Life....it's never how hard you can hit but how hard you can get hit and keep pushing forward.....how much you can take and keep pushing forward. - Rocky Balboa...
It's about time someone over there admitted it. They don't have to bake fun into every car they make, but at least give us a new Supra, AE86, Celica, and MR2 to off set their mundane mainstream cars.
My truck is the perfect candidate. She's not worth more than $4500, and I get 12mpg combined so finding a replacement that would net me the full $4500 would be easy. I refuses to send it to the junk yard though.
You can't honestly think that the safety standards will change so much in one year that the weight savings of carbon fiber and aluminum would be null. They basically want to shave 500lbs off of the current GS, and I truly think that is attainable. ~~~
revithigh: Yea, man getchoo is like 15yrs old, he even said "light as a weather" instead of saying light as a feather. give the kid a break. He gets some good input occasionally. I got a chance to drive a GS460 and i loved the V8 power and finesse. I also drove a 2008 IS250 and that was slow, and very underpowered. Having an IS engine as a base engine for the GS is a huge risk that...
Let's look at the competitors: Infiniti M Lexus GS Audi A6 BMW 5-Series And (the best for last) Mercedes E-class Really how do you compete? ----------------------------------------
The all ne Equinox!!!! If I were a betting guy I would have guessed the first generation Equinox would have died on the vine and then he name would be changed. Instead it ran 4 model years and was then made all new!!!! Yay! That is what GM needs to do more often, in fact I thogt the Equinox could have ran one more model year honestly... For once, by not letting it doe on the vine, it actually...
nell_z: ^^^Don't avoid my question LC..... Brown_Pride: I actually didn't get it lol. No lie! I'm likin' the newer Caddys but definitely prefer the competition. Plus, I'd never buy a GM. But from a design aspect the newer Caddys are pretty cool looking. I wonder if they break as much as my dad's SRX did. The only people I know of to have Caddy's are my neighbor (Escalade ESV and CTS) and my...
Bellanca5.0: That doesn't seem too appealing for the base engine in a car this size. lord humongous: maybe they have seen how well bmw's weak sauce poser mobile 525i/528i has done and want to emulate. Bellanca5.0: Haha, that's a possibility. I'm sorry but if I'm paying north of $40K for a car it better have around 300hp as the base. Icer: It's actually not an uncommon thing for luxury sedans costing over $40k to...
