Hi All We have found a good deal for a 2 bedroom apartment at either Fraser Place Robertson Walk or Fraser Suites for our first holiday to Singapore in May next year. I am just wondering though if they are too far out or away from the action? We will be doing the classic tourist thing and do definitely want to try the local food - we just don't particularly like hotel rooms and ...

Hi, we spent 6 months in Singapore last year and lived at river place condo which is directly across the river from Robertson walk. It is a fab area and certainly not too far out. Personally I think they are too far from a MRT station for a tourist and the surrounding areas are more residential and have residential amenities. They are good place for longer stays away from the hustle. However if your not the typical tourist and have plenty of time and like to do things at a slower pace that its a fine location. I have just rembered that a hotel was being built opposite UE Square when we were there. It may be worth asking if it is completed otherwise it may be noisy in and around Robertson walk?

Thanks for the feedback. I have booked it as I figure the money we save on 2 hotel rooms we can afford a few more taxis if needed. We love having room to move that an apartment gives us. Here is hoping no building work happening while we are there! I will post a review on return Regards Suzi

The building work opposite is now complete by the look of it - Park Hotel Clarke Quay is the result. Have a great time!
