I like how the one guy blames it on changeing the oil. i have never heard
of an engine blowing b/c the oil was not changed. ford guys will come up
with anything they can. so they have to addiment there trucks are junk!

I guess the Cummins must be junk too, I mean it had problems when the 6.7 first came out right?
I'd be willing to bet a lot, that there are more trucks out there (6.4) that run fine, than these incidents you posted. Of course a new engine ...

I have yet to read of similar instant destruction stories for a 5.9L or a 6.7L Cummins. I read a few pages back on the "powerstroke.org" forums, and there were a surprising number of them. Sure, it could be just a fluke here and there as will happen with any engine, but there just seemed to be more "kaboom" stories than I expected. As far as "bashing" goes, I will come out and say I would...

Ford, Dodge, Chevy, dont care, If I were to purchase a new vehicle off the lot and didnt even make it home before the engine blew, they would owe me a NEW truck. Period.
my buddy just bought a brand new ford about 3 months ago no problems yet and when i bought the truck in my sig i got a bunch of crap from him about buying a dodge I told him we will see who has the most problems while i have this truck my goal is to keep it till it dies I got a extended 4 year warranty and will do my best to blow the tranny out by then I did my homework before i purchased and ruled out ford all together, he had a 7.3 and it...
I love this line: One thing that comes to mind is that the first engine was new and it only lasted 80 miles. The repaired one should outlast that one. Yeah, like 90 miles ?
