Thread: For those who run a DAC or DACs- what do you own?
Started 1 month ago by thedelihaus
Curious to hearcwhat DACs you are running.
Currently, I run a Parasound D/AC 1000, an EAD DSP-1000, and a PS Audio Superlink II.
Past units have been an Adcom GCD 600, an EnTech 105.2, and a Sony DAT with bypassable controls that could be used as a DAC.
Optical cables have been the GLASS brand.
Digital cables- a variety.
This is the best feature of the amp, according to the website:
"AM/FM Tuner with Ultra Digital Labs FM Nosie Reduction Circuitry"
Make getting one a scroe for sure.

I know, I was just being sarcastic, because I know the power cord is no larger than 18 gauge.
I have thought an image illusion. A collection of different still images are tightly overlapped. When the disc spins at the desired speed, the images will remain still.
A backup may also be what happens when you put your car into reverse gear, and depress the accelerator...
Of course, if you make it too depressed, it might need medication...

I'm a fan of B&N as well. They always manage to play great music when I'm there... I've picked up a few CDs on the spot. I usually camp out near either the stereo or automotive magazines for an hour or so.
I like Borders especially for the comic section, but much less now since they totally eliminated their music department.
I have a Luxman TP-117 tuner/pre-amp in perfect working order (I hope..)
The problem is that when the unit it is off for a few days and I want to turn it on with the remote (original remote), it does not work. What I have to do is unplug the AC, plug it back and then the remote works fine (all functions, on/off /volume, etc). It is like a reset(?).
Does anyone know why this can be ...
If so, I am in desperate need of a favor! My better half went to one awhile back but due to circumstances beyond her control she was not able to obtain a T-shirt from the event! She really wanted one and I've been searching far and wide to find one on Ebay or something, but no luck so far. I was hoping I could get in touch with someone who will be attending one sometime in the near future (...

Maybe. If you are running both pair of speakers at once, they're probably connected in parallel. If so, this would create a 3 ohm load on the amp. The amp probably doesn't like that too much. That said, low impedance, afaik, typically doesn't cause high frequency problems unless the system is being pushed hard enough to be clipping. Low to moderate levels of clipping often manifest as harshness in the high frequencies.
