Thread: For People Having Problems Burning Disk With Version 9 of iTunes

What I have discovered is that Version 8.2 of iTunes work just fine. I had no error messages and everything went smoothly. What one needs to do is un-install version 9 of iTunes and Quicktime. Then install version 8.2. You may have to Google to find older versions of iTunes, if you do be careful That you are indeed downloading iTunes. I think that ver.9 was not tested enough. ...

I know I should have waited for an answer! I read the iTunes section of this forum and from what I saw, it sounded easy. I deinstalled 9. and installed 8.2 Problem is, the .itl file cannot be read by 8.2 because it was created by a newer version of itunes. What do I do now? Deinstall 8.2 and reinstall 9.0? I'll wait this time (unless I can find a specific article about ...

If you get the later version message you have to rebuild your library from the xml library file: Recreate iTunes library instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451 compaq presario iPod 20GB iTunes 9.0.1.8...

PaWalleye -- glad that you had some luck with this method. I, on the other hand, have not. I uninstalled V9 and installed V8.2.0.23 and I still can't burn cd's. iTunes asks for me to load a blank music cd. it then says, "checking media". then, nothing. does anyone here have any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? thanks!!!...

The only luck I had was changing my burn speed to 8X. Compaq HP Presario 6000 Windows Vista Premium Home Edition 32 ...
