I have seen a few threads started by new riders or ones returning to riding after years of being out of the saddle. So I thought I would post this here for the new guys and gals. Chris has one approach to gettng back into riding. I prefer another approach. Go out, buy yourself the biggest, meanest bike you can find. Screw sensibility, buy the bike that you fantasized about when you were alone in bed, hell you only live once. If it comes in a 5000 cc version, buy it!! Get yourself a matching doo-rag, some shiny new leathers... don't worry about the thick ...

Rat: That is the other approach which I failed to mention. Thanks for covering me brother. Now just think how bad your going to look when you dump your bike in the parking lot in front of all those other bikers because you cannot handle that bike at slow speeds without duck walking it. The full leathers will protect yo though. Chris
