Thread: Food Introduction Question

Started 1 month ago by AnnaMH
I might be thinking too hard into this whole first time food thing, but if I give my daughter acorn squash and she does well with it, am I safe to assume that the other types of squash (butternut, yellow, etc.) okay? Or do I need to introduce all the types of squash one at a time?

okay so I had a family reunion  from thursday to monday. My DH couldn't make it til Sat. morning well I'm on the computer and I see a new icon on the computer. It's from Limewire: 25 greatest celebrity blow jobs! WTF?! I tried to find it on Itunes I can't find it though. I mean I know guys look at porn and all but I mean I don't get it! I am thinking I will leave it up there and see if it's ...

I am BFing my son and supplementing him here and there for various reasons. Not a ton.. maybe 2-4oz. a day if that. Anyway.. when I first started this I gave him Similac Advanced because I had a free can of it from the hospital. I gave him 2-4oz every night for 3 days..and for 3 days he'd be up all night screaming .. then I realized it was the formula.. went back to BM and no screaming. So then ...

My son was born 5/15 which makes him nearly 16 weeks this Friday. I had been EBF for almost the entire time until maybe a month ago when I started to slightly supplement with formula - only 2-4oz a day and usually mixed with BM. I woke up last night with a heavy period and now I'm sad as if my pregnancy had finally come full circle!! I was hoping it would be gone for at least 6 months but I ...

I have never heard of a baby not taking to a pacifier for comfort.  Imagine how hard it is for me to comfort her when she is tired, without using a pacifier.  She likes to suck on the nipple of a bottle.  She ends up choking on the formula because she doesn't want to swallow, only suck.  I guess I should find something to plug in the nipple and let her suck on it? LOL.

Hi guys.  If you can help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it. My neighbor just brought by a bunch of clothes that her son has outgrown.  Many of them are "like new" and some still have the tags on them.  She brought over a garbage bag full, and said that she was going to sell them on Craigslist, but wanted me to have first dibs on them.  She just asks that I give her an amount that I ...

I just found out I have to move to the Bahamas in January, because my husband is unable to stay here (in the US). I was born, and raised here in Orlando. Never been away from my parents. My kid's are my grandparents, and my mom's world. It's going to absolutely kill them. My grandparents are getting old, and sickly. I'm terrified of something happening to them while I am over there. One minute ...

How often does your DH/SO get drunk (anywhere from buzzed enough that he shouldn't drive, to slurring/throwing up/whatever)? Just trying to get a sense of what other folks' husbands/boyfriends/significant others do, to see if I'm really as irrational as my husband seems to think I am. (For the record, even before pregnancy and breastfeeding I was only a very occasional social drinker, so my ...

My LO has been sneezing pretty frequently (no mucos discharge) as well as rubs her face a lot.  She doesn't cough & has had no rashes.  We live in San Diego so our weather is really tame.  I myself was diagnosed with Asthma in High School (but had allergies to cats since I was a toddler - just sneezing).  My 3yr old has no allergies at all.  Any thoughts as to how young kids can develope ...

too big for original car seat??...

I've had one of the bundle things in my son's infant seat to keep him warm, but he goes in without a jacket or big sweaters. Like pp's have said they're not safe if there's an accident. We have a snugride 32, and don't have much room left. But our son is only about 19 lbs, so hopefully it lasts a little longer.

Flying ALONE with two small ones...
Published (2009-12-11 04:18:57)
Maybe show up early and ask if you could have a flight attendant assist you and the LOs to your seat. Do you have an ipod/portable dvd player/ds or something that can keep your 2yo occupied? My mom had to do this a bunch of times when I was younger, she had to fly from Hawaii to Washington state with me at 6 my little sister at 2 and my little brother at 4 months old. She used the flight attendants as much as she possibly could during the...
