Fluidity Bar is showing wear and tear, anyone else?
I purchased my Fluidity system in 2006 and since barre workouts are my main form of exercise, I use my Fluidity bar several times a week. Well, the wooden bar is flaking (the bar looks like it had filler ); the rubber feet are scuffed and/or falling off; the height adjustment is ...
Wow! I'm glad I got mine used for a cheap price. I assumed that the barre would last for my lifetime. If it doesn't, I'm getting a different one.
I had heard of people's mats ripping, and some older models had issues with the wooden bar coming loose, but the latter issue was supposedly fixed in later models.
I don't care if the mat doesn't hold up, because most barres...

Mine has not worn well at all. The bar slides out of place a lot, it is wobbly, and their CS no longer honors the 'lifetime guarantee" That I've read abou t on this forum. I am very disappointed in the quality. Definitely not worth the price they charge.
I think a replacement bar was $40-50? I could be mistaken since I spoke with them a while ago.
Not one of my better ...
My barre is screwed in place. If you have one of the earlier bars that shift around, I can see how wood scrapings could happen. Also, the feet of my bar are screwed in, so I don't see how they could come off. It's possible I have a newer model.
I also plan to leave my bar height in place once I have it adjusted to the right height. As to wood filler, my bar seems to be ...

proof of purchase
Did you have to provide your receipt or proof of purchase to get a replacement and pay only shipping?? Mine is okay for now but just wondering for the future , I am not sure if I kept my shipping information or not.
I have no idea if I kept the receipt, I usually do but I have moved cross country 2x and across town 2x since then so I dunno. That said, knock on wood, mine seems fine. I also keep the mat folded up 99% of the time I use it too...mainly because I rarely do the actual Fluidity DVDs.

Yes, I had the original order number, but ...

I just wanted to say that even though I'm having some issues with my Fluidity Bar it's still the best fitness related purchase I've ever made. I get so much use out of it and I really am able to do my barre workouts better. I don't think the wear and tear is excessive or beyond what can be expect for the amount of use it gets. I think part of the problem is that I have to store it and then wheel it out and set it up each...
I am willing to bet that they no longer offer the 'lifetime guarantee'. They told me that since my order was from 2005 or 2006? (don't recall exactly...) that I was S.O.L. (well, not in those words...)

Another bandwagon I never hopped on. I'm sorry you are all having so many problems. I didn't realize I was saving so much money and hassle when I bought a heavy duty shower grab bar at the hardware store and had it installed into the wall studs. It's been a great barre for me, and if I want to sit on the floor and grab it while balancing against the wall, it works great for that too. I chose the height that was right for me....
