Looks like hydrangea.

hard to tell from the pic, but the plant is anly about a foot tall. We used to have hydrangeas back in socal. I would be surprised if this was one. The leaves are spadelike, which is different from the hydrangea pics I googled.

As for the size, they all gotta start out as babies. As for the leaves, scroll down to the pictures here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrangea They look the same to me.

you might have it there. there are several of these in the alley...not sure how they sprouted up. I haven't seen a big one around. If they are hydrangeas, I'll definitely plan out a place for a couple. I guess I could take a byte out of one and see how sick i get.

He sent them to me as a PowerPoint file, attached to an email, and I really don't know how to deal with that. This may work only for someone logged on as me at my email provider.
