I just picked up my C330 this morning and have a question regarding focusing. When I look at the focusing screen / viewfinder, I see a few concentric circles in the center. The image shown through the center circle doesn't appear to change when I rotate the focusing knobs. And the area outside the circles shifts in and out of focus as expected. It sounds like you may be seeing the fresnel backing on the screen. The circles probably start all the way out, and are only absent in the middle. You may not see the other circles because of the texture of the screen. The fresnel backing gathers light and makes the viewfinder appear brighter. The side effect is a less sharp viewfinder image. I was going to try to describe the circles in my reply. Then I remembered this is a community about photography. :) The circles in the center are what I'm asking about.

See this link for lots of info on screens and your C330 in general... www.btinternet.com/~G.A.Patterson/mfaq/m_faq-7.htm l Sounds/looks like you have the standard #1 screen - clear in the center and a circle of fresnel rings and outre area with finer fresnel rings.

See this link for lots of info on screens and your C330 in general... www.btinternet.com/~G.A.Patterson/mfaq/m_faq-7.html Sounds/looks like you have the standard #1 screen - clear in the center and a circle of fresnel rings and outre area with finer fresnel rings.
