For Canon mount, there are two versions of Kenko extension sets available. The EF only version and the EF-S version. The EF-S version is more expensive by around 20% and harder to find. You can use the EF-S version with any lens. Wide-angle lens are not good for extension tubes. In my experience, the 50-mm normal lens gives the best result. Im using it too with 50mm 1.8 prime. the beauty of Kenko ext. tubes is that you can still adjust the aperture of the lens since it has connectors. :)

Not only that. Most functions of the lens are available including VR/IS. Autofocus may not be reliable unless you manually pre-focus. Manually pre-focusing means you move forward or backward until your subject is focused then use the autofocus to fine-tune the focus. If you're using a zoom lens, the zoom ring serves as a coarse manual focus then the autofocus might work. If autofocus is...
