Thread: Flickr: Discussing ERR99 and Shutter/Mirror Lock up and non-stop firing. in Canon EOS 30D

To be simple and easy to understand. Last week I had several shutter misfires, sounding like a short sequence shoots despite being in single shot. Yesteday, the camera simply JAMMED. The mirror got locked up several times then ERR99. Then it started to shoot non-stop as a fast sequence til it locks up and ERR99. I'm afraid the shutter died or is about to die. The thing is...

Storm Rider, read this extensive troubleshooting article on Err99. www.lensrentals.com/news/2008.12.31/canon-err99 It runs down every err99 possibility before you send it out for repair. Unfortunately, repair will cost money you don't have so if it does turn out to be a major issue I would recommend renting for that day.

Storm Rider, read this extensive troubleshooting article on Err99. www.lensrentals.com/news/2008.12.31/canon-err99 It runs down every err99 possibility before you send it out for repair. Unfortunately, repair will cost money you don't have so if it does turn out to be a major issue I would recommend renting for that day.
