I had a regular USP in 9mm. Loved it. I have a G17 now, but I miss the Hks decocking lever, safety, and exposed hammer. I love the 33 round mags though! Go for the HK! BD6

or get a sig p226. Extremely reliable, 9mm is easy to find, and still plentiful. You couldn't give me a glock.......Great deal on police trade in sig p226's right now at j&g sales..... Get that and a 200 doller remington 870. And move asap. I lived in an area like that, moved after two years.

Every time I've seen pictures of a glock kaboom, there was aftermarket barrels or reloaded ammo involved. get one of these

I love cappin foolz in CS with my Mk. 23. No cheap Austrian combat tupperware for me! Pure Teutonic steel purity! If you don't understand WHY it must be so heavy, then you're obviously not an "Operat0r" that's "In the KnOw".

Smith & Wesson Model 29 with 7 1/2" barrel. Good enough for Clint Eastwood it should be good enough for your tough neighborhood.
