Anyway, does anyone else go fishing? I'd like to share anecdotes and tips and so on. Not particularly interested in the whole rights and wrongs of it as a "sport" but if you want to express yourself in that...

I think it all depends on whether you want to get all competitive about the fishing. Snoozing under a tree with a baited rod dangling morsels for fish might not be considered by some to ba a particularly athletic pastime, but the rewards if you catch can be quite enjoyable. A few years back I was a very passionate fisherman with the exercise being hoofing it to my secret little spots to pull out...

The photo was taken at dusk but the fish were caught earlier around mid to late afternoon (as you like it). I do quite a lot of night fishing though. I find it more exciting for some reason and I always seem to catch more at night. Cheers, Andy.

Nice fish, Andy. I'd like to know if you ate them too. I live in one of the fishing hotspots of the world, yet have only fished once. I caught loads of mackerel in the third week of August about 6 years ago, when the shoals come to the shore. Let me rephrase that; loads of mackerel jumped onto my hooks, it really was that easy, catching 6 or 7 at a time on a line with multiple hooks. I had a fabulous time, I mean the excitement of...

Nice fish and top man for popping them back. Was that ate night or early morning Andy? See, that's another aspect of fishing that doesn't sit well with my body clock. If mid to late afternoon was a good time for fishing I'd have been more interested. Hanging about in the cold mist by a lake or along a cut was never going to get me excited enough to keep up with the angling and I did give it a go, honest! (IMG:...
