I am a long time Mac (and PC) user and am wanting to get a new PC tower for gaming, but also want to run OSX on it. This will be my first hackintosh, and I believe the first step is compatible hardware! My question to all of you is will the following configuration work?: CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-960 3.20 GHz 8M L3 Cache LGA1366 HDD: Single Hard Drive (1TB (1TBx1) SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB ...

Looks ok but i think you can get it cheaper by building it yourself... And honest i would not pay the almost 2 times as much for the 960 over the 920.. you will not notice the 600 Mhz and if you feel you might miss them then just overclock the 920... i am using mine as a small oc from the 2.66 til 3.6 Ghz and i know i can go over 4GHz on my 920 if i want... I just cant see the extra...

Would the EVGA X58 3X SLI LE Intel X58 Chipset SLI/CrossFireX Mainboard Triple-Channel DDR3/1600 SATA RAID w/ GbLAN,USB2.0,Dual IEEE1394&7.1Audio Be a better motherboard choice? Or this one? Asus P6T SE Intel X58 I'm sure they're all great motherboards, I just want the one that will work on OSX the easiest.

they are all x58 mobos so they will work just fine.. i know a lot uses the gigabyte.. you can google the mobo name and then just add osx86 after.. like so: GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R osx86
