Seams a little high. The LNL can be converted to the 2nd gen by replacing the base. Hornady has a kit for this around $30. The shell plates are $10 to have them modified for the new base. The 2nd gen re-engineered the shell ejector. The 1st gen used a wire to push the round out of the holder. The 2nd gen uses a base that walks the sell out of the holder. The only issues was with short small brass like 9mm on the 1st gen. They have a tendency...

The new LNL is superior to the old one, but you can convert the old to the new ejector plate. I think the new shell plates will fit the old machines, but the old plates will not fit the new ones. Regardless a new LNL WITH 1000 bullets is only $369 and 1000 .45cal bullets are almost $300. Offer him $250 for the whole deal as his press is actually worth around $100.

Lee dies are worth like $10 used. We sell them for $29 new. Its worth $250, your just buying the press, not the Lee crap.

For what it's worth, I just picked up a new one at MidSouth Shooter supply for $368. A check is going in the mail today for $21.95 and I hope to have 1k XTPs in hand. I wanted to go back to Dillon but I couldn't pass this up.
