Thread: First 9 minutes of Eva 1.01 streamed

Shinji was quite competent for a 14 year old that was abandoned. You know, until his best friend nearly killed by his own hands, Asuka in a coma, Rei dead, then respawned with no memories, and killed the only person that gave him affection.... But totally glossed over with gay jokes, sure.

I dunno, I found Shinji A LITTLE more likable in this movie and a little more heroic by the end than I had in the previous series.

Rebuild isn't in the same universe as NGE... In EoE Shinji never made the world the way he wanted it... He just rejected instrumentality. Think of the alternate universe sequence from episode twenty six of the TV series... "Another possible reality" RoE is/could be (I mean leaning toward IS ) another one of those possible realities. ...just sayin'...

IIRC, there was a Blu-Ray version of this in Japan...has there been any word on a Blu-Ray release for the dub?
