Thread: Finance Industry Government bailout?

I'm sure opinions on this vary widely. What do you think? The Federal Reserve is assuring a recession if the government doesn't act on this, which isn't surprising IMO. the sickest part is after all said and done.. the CEO clowns and the other big board members are still going to get there millions they think they deserve, and if they don't? well they'll resign... just a bunch of malarky! but when i'm CEO i will expect my millions also. so..

X2 Ian. I think they should institute a salary cap. Dump the extra back into the business or increase the dividend pay out.

I say yes, but only because I'm pretty sure things would get very ugly if we didn't bail them out. That said, those CEOs knew exactly what they were doing with all those risky business practices. They did what ever they wanted and left us (taxpayers) with the bill knowing we'd have no choice but to suck it up. Bail out was voted down, the dow is down almost 600 points. This doesn't look good.
