Started 2 months ago by fafy
Hey guys, I just wanted to share the good news with you. After years of writing in this forum, I am finally licensed as a pharmacist in Texas. Good luck to all of you that are still struggling with the TOEFL, Naplex,... Don't lose hope, you'll see the end of it pretty soon. Bye now. Fafy

Hi Fafy: Congratulation. Would you like to share your experience from taking FPGEE till getting your license? How long does it take? Thanks Homeland

Congratulations!!! Fafy. That must be a big relief after such a long journey. I'm looking for internship recently. After sending resume and calling pharmacies,no reply. I saw you also had hard time searching for intern. Would you kindly share your experience how you finally found your intern position? I'm sure it will benefit all of us who are struggling of finding an intern position. Thanks...

Please, does anyone know what next I need to do after passing my fpgee and toefl? I have asked ets to send my toefl score to nabp. Now how long does it take for nabp to prepare my intern licence? Now, how do I register for naplex and what are the materials I need to prepare for my naplex. Any ideas will be welcomed. Thanks!

Congratulations on getting qualified in the US!! I'm just in the process of waiting to find out if the FPGEC will accept me to take the equivalency exam. Are you a UK pharmacist? I am. I graduated in 2002 from Bath Uni after a 4 year course after doing A-levels etc - do you think they are likely to accept me? I've had the ECE report but you can't read between the lines there and then the NABP ...

Vicky you shouldn't have a problem I did mine in England did the 4 year MPHARM course and got through flying colous, you need to ensure you include the one year pre-reg since that counts since technically you are still studying. It is normal for them to ask questions. The hardest thing I found was that is getting a internship I still have not been able to gain a placement but who knows proably ...

Thanks for replying Osman. They asked me to include my A-levels but not my pre-reg yet. All the stuff that I've read said that pre-reg not included because you have already graduated?? What did you send them to prove your pre-reg? What I don't understand is why they needed A-levels (or pre-reg) when mine was a 4 year course pre Jan 2003.

I am in the early stage of applying for FPGEC and ECE evaluation report. I graduate from UK university 10 years ago, got BSc(hons) pharm (a 3-years course). Do you know if NABP accepts that or do I need to apply for an extra year of course or something? I completed my 1 year pre-reg in 2000. I wish but I don't think it'll count as 4 years althogether! I learnt that my uni destroys transcript ...

I would say you will be fine , just relax and take it easy. Have you got a Green card since I am finding the hardest thing is getting a company to sponsor me. Just make sure you include your Pre-reg year as study year too.

Thanks guys. Pharmgreen, I don't understand your question. The internship doesn't have to be in both hospital and retail. You can do whatever you want.

I just got my CA intern license and it is good for 2 years, but after that they do not extend it .
