You might like the Elise then. It really is a fun car to drive. If you're more interested in...
I have driven the 370Z. Fun car, better daily driver. But it's not the Lotus.
This is my suggestion for choosing a car. Imagine yourself owning the 370Z. If a Lotus drives by on the street, will you wish that was you??

So true
The looks are just the icing on the light weight cake

Same in Dallas - unless my coworkers drives his in (rare) or unless I'm
going to an HPDE (also rare), I will go months without seeing a Lotus. And
Dallas has a fairly large car enthusiast population.
Hi inspiration, I guess you missed me! I was driving through Phoenix last week, spending an overnight from a long drive from Atlanta to Los Angeles. I must say that the crossing of Phoenix was the less exciting of the entire journey. But as Newguy says: "Go test drive one." Test drive it as often as you can. And remember that it shouldn't be your 'everyday' car. Just because it's an acrobatic workout to...

I'm too new to link the video on here but I'll keep trying. I practiced his method today (because I went back to Norm Baker) and tested a 08 SC. Wow! I'm so hooked. So smooth and...

Last night's sleep has not...
If you want a car that you just want to get in to drive, even to the shops and back, but can perform like this get an Elise, drive it for a while then supercharge it. You won't be disappointed. This is my daily drive to work and I have now done a couple of track days and autocross events. Can't get enough. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbWd23V8m8k __________________ 2006 111R Elise,VF stg 1 supercharged,HIDs,Harness bar,...

Straight, flat roads... lackluster AC that doesn't do all that great in 90F degree weather, not considering 110+ degree weather. The fact you are comparing it...

It sounds to me like the styling of the car is becoming more and more important to you in addition to the ride / handling experience. That said- The EVO in my opinion is going to be a letdown. The Lotus cars do draw more attention (not always a good thing) but it's unique Exotic look and the fact that you don't see everyone driving them everyday is what makes the car feel more expensive / rare that it REALLY is. The Lotus is more $...
