Thread: FUSON Scout & New Kart Barrel-1st Range Report-Detailed/Long

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by mitrod3
Awhile back as I shifted from a lot of .45 shooting to more 9mm (arm problems but no way was I going to give up on shooting) I also decided to add a FUSION Scout in .38 Super as I wanted a good solid caliber along with the 9mm and FUSION really caught my eye and interest. As already shared here, I was very pleased with both the quality and the accuracy of that gun in hand, as well as how I was ...

Saturday, I fired my combat pistol course that I adapted from the National Militia Standards Rifle Qualification. I made it much easier to attain the different levels than on the rifle course. I shot it with the Kimber Eclipse Pro II. That is the 4 inch model of the 1911 stainless with oxide finish and the flats polished. It had a failure to feed from the magazine due to the nose of the ...

I don't think I will get another pistol or revolver without night sites. My new Kimber Eclipse Pro II has them and that was one of the stipulations.

I have one of these guns and have had no problems with Wolf ammo in it. I tried multiple brands and bullet types in it just to see what it liked and so far everything has run in it.

I'm finally getting to the range this friday to shoot my SA V10 ultra compact. It's been close to 2 months since I purchased the gun used, did a field strip and everything looked fine. I have only shot my beretta px4 storm 9mm previously at the range. Anything I need to know before I shoot the 1911? I'm going to be using 50 rounds of winchester 230gr.

Very nice shooting..........enjoy that S&W. Two of my favorite .45's were S&W's. Both were very fine guns in hand. Be safe, continue to shoot well.

Yep, I enjoy cleanin' 'em back up too, but this time it was a bit much. My pal only owned two of the guns, and he had to take off immediately after we finished shooting (legitimate reason), so I couldn't coax him into an assembly line. Also, some of the pistols were going back in the safe for long-term storage, which took a little extra attention to detail. While it took me awhile and is not what I'd call...

I was wanting the pinky extention for more grip surface for drawing out of a holster. I agree it is not necessaryfor accurate fire. The recoil is very light and not an issue.

You're doing okay. I was always taught to make the head shot carefully aimed - even if it adds a second to the time. Go as fast as you can while making solid hits. The speed will come with practice.

Yeah, I thought that was kind of odd myself. I may swap it out for a single side. I ordered a new Fiber Optic front sight for it last night. Hope to get out to the range this weekend and see how it does.

Indoor Range in Woodstock, GA area
Published (2009-12-05 13:14:00)
Sorry for not replying earlier. The work I'm doing here has kept me at the office from 7:30am to at least 8:00pm every day since my arrival. If this keeps up, I may not make it to the range. I appreciate the offer for the passes, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to use them. The folks here in the office I'm working at (Woodstock) aren't shooters so they don't understand the frustration of not being able to shoot....
