Made in Connecticut nearly 29 years ago. Laminate over 5/8" particle board (3/4" total thickness). Very sturdy! (And very heavy!) Two sliding drawers on each side. Two-inch lip on base keeps mattress from slipping. Headboard has 11-1/2 deep shelves. Unique hinged side panels on either side of headboard near the base provides added storage space.
