Hello,
i need the Web Tools Platform for eclipse. This is not a rpm-packet :-(
But I can't install this with the software update from eclipse from
http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/updates
I got every time a:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: org.eclipse.wst.jsdt.feature.feature.group 1.0.5....
obviously you are missing one of the requirements for that plugin
http://wiki.eclipse.org/WTP_FAQ#How_do_I_install_W TP.3F
in that page you can see what WTP requires to be installed.... look for the one you don't have in your current instalation and see if it works
Hi,
I've just installed FC 11 two days ago and downloaded the Eclipse Ganymede J2EE from the Eclipse website. After extracting the file, I could not run the Eclipse. It loaded the configuration, which after that it hung and I had to force terminate it.
I tried another method by downloading Eclipse using the package manager, which i think is the eclipse classic and it runs Fedora Eclipse...
I had the same problem when trying to start up eclipse WTP on Fedora 11, I got a small grey window which cannot be closed while starting eclipse by running ./eclipse in terminal.
But if I use ./eclipse -vm /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0/jre/bin/ja va or
./eclipse -vm /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-gcj-1.5.0.0/jre/bin/java both of them failed and ...
Hi,
I've downloaded the Eclipse J2EE version.
I have dual OS running on my machine (FC 11 and WinXP). There are existing projects in my WinXP Eclipse workspace.
When I launched my Eclipse J2EE in FC 11, I pointed the workspace to that in my WinXP and it managed to run successfully.
However, it failed when I tried to switch back to the workspace in my FC11 (even the default ...
Same behaviour here.
If I use a already created workspace, Eclipse starts successfully. If I try to create a new one, eclipse crashes with the stacktrace mentioned by hyjalsoul two posts above.
Eclipse package:
Code:
eclipse-reporting-ganymede-SR2-linux-gtk-x86_64.ta r.gz
Java:
Code:
[bruno.medeiros@host-123 ~]$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_14"
Java(TM) SE ...
I have the exact same configs then brunojcm... With the same results
I looked around a little and found that this error seems to be associated with mozilla library paths :
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docvie...id=swg21265 773
http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/new.../msg00101.h tml
If I'm not mistaken ... firefox is upgraded to 3.5 in the 10 to 11 fedora upgrade
Some libraries ...
I have exactly the same problem.
Use a previously created workspace and Eclipse starts fine but use a workspace generated on F11 and the grey box appears and nothing else other than the errors in the log file.
Hi,
I've downloaded the Eclipse Galileo J2EE version and able launch it successfully both using existing workspace as well as creating new workspace. I've also added GWT, JavaME plugins to it.
Cheers.
