Thread: Eye twitching

Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by sandee
Has anyone ever experienced eye twitching?? This has been going on for several weeks now with my left eye. It's the eye lid that actually twitches. I don't know if this could be from ms, or anxiety or maybe both. Most of the time i just ignore it but sometimes it drives me nuts. Specially when I'm around other people because I feel they can see it and wondering what is the matter with me. I...

Nothing too unusual about a tic. It's annoying as h*ll, but I wouldn't be too worried about it. Scott

Try to ignore it. The more you worry about it, the more it will twitch. I had that eons ago in High School. I thought everyone would notice it and you know how young girls feel about these things. What I did was rub it when I felt it. That seemed to help. Good luck and don't worry, okay?

I had that a lot shortly before I was diagnosed with MS and for awhile after. I don't know if being on one of the DMD is what has helped it or what happened, but I don't have it as often now. Yea, I was always very concious of it too. Virginia

Yea i do ignore it most of the time, it seems to get worse when I do get more stressed out though so maybe that has something to do with it and it does seem to flare when I get tired. Thanks for all the responses. Sandee

If you are asking about eyelid twitching, yes I have had that happen. Only when I was experiencing a lot of anxiety that I was trying to suppress for long period of time. And it always went away within a day or so.

It is really annoying. I get it from time to time and it goes away. It looks like I am winking at some one but since I am old and fat the cute girls don't slap me at least not yet........
