I'm just wondering if the experimental section always contains the new type questions. i.e if i had section 1 orthodox format , section 2 with new type questions, does that necessarily mean that section 2 was the non-marked section? or is there no way to tell?

One such new question is a sentence completion with 2 or 3 blanks. So its quite possible that the last section is the actual verbal part of GRE. I would advise you to reinstate your score. Because, ...

Thanks for the inputs fromcttoupenn and M10TheMist ! My other score was 390v/780q. My latest one, I think I did okay in q-section but I think I got lower this time. For the verbal...the first one was absolutely terrible, my time management was so bad and I basically had to skip some of the reading sections. So I am pretty sure If the first one was marked...I will get lower than 390...and ...

It might be too late now, but I just thought I would briefly mention that I had an experimental math section, i.e. only one verbal, and had a fill in the blank question with two blanks.
