May I ask if a manual backup can be successfully performed on the particular Exchange database? Furthermore, is there any indication to why the MS Exchange database backup is missed, if you look under the scheduler debug log? The debug log can be found under the directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\.obm\log\Scheduler

We have a few clients backing up Exchange 2007 - most of them fine, but one of them has an issue.
Every day, we receive a message "Scheduled backup missed". The server in question has both a File backup set and the Exchange backup set (just info store, not mailbox level) - the File backup works fine, and when running the Exchange backup manually (logs or database), it also works fine....

I did say that when running the Exchange backup manually (both database and log backup) it ran fine.
From the Scheduler log for the past two days, there is the following:

No problem - I've checked the event log, there are miscellaneous events during the time when the job should take place, suggesting the server is still active during the scheduled time - though nothing relating to the Ahsay service.
At present, the server has been up for over 30 days. Last night, the job was manually run at around 17:00 and completed at around 3:30 this morning - we still ...
