We've flown with both Singapore and Maylasian but when we enquired at travel agents about return trip they could'nt praise Etihad enough...
I haven't travelled with Etihad yet, but they are fresh into the Australian market, so they are pushing themselves quite hard within the industry.

You will find their pricing is very keen.

BTW the number of mixed reviews i am hearing of Emirates recently has caused me to rethink my position on them....

I flew economy with Etihad from London to Sydney 6 weeks ago. Their service is no better or worse than any other airline i have flown with including BA,Qantas, Virgin, Singapore and Malaysian airlines. Staff seemed a bit inexperienced but not substandard.
I did walk through business class area on the plane and really wasnt impressed with the seating. Looked very cramped and plastic.

Yes Graham and Maria. they weren't too happy with that one. that incident happened while airbus were testing it, it was the day before delivery. Scratch one A340 before its taken a single passenger
You can book with etihad direct we paid 1800 pound for 2 adults return from manchester to brisbane with i change time of 2 hours50 mins but due to delay we were flown into sydney and up to brisbane and did the full trip in 27 hours .We have cancelled are return ticket and got charge one way plus 75 pound so we was refunded.
