I am wondering if Mark (or anyone, really) can provide some clarification on how chairs and people are measured. I've seen online charts and they don't help much. I got my last chair through a wheelchair clinic (I think that's what it was called--was done through PT). It was several years ago and I don't remember being measured tho my partner says I was. My insurance won't pay the type of ...

It's truly impossible for anyone to give you an answer how a ...

Thanks Mark I was looking at the at the q600 and the q6000 I thought my provider said something that the q6000 wasn't in the group 3 and wouldn't be covered by Medicare and My supplement. I need excellent shocks for my instable spine. I absolutely need something that is variable in the seat bottom and back and must have a coccyx cutout. I was pushed real hard on my tailbone 20 years ago. I'm ...

The Q6000Z is a absolutely a Group-3, routinely funded by Medicare and other such insurers. If you're provider simply looks at the order form, he or she will see Group-3 coding. And, anyone can see the Group-3 coding here: http://www.pridemobility.com/quantum/RTS/order_for ms.asp . Thank you.

Hi Windjammer nice to see you! I have the same Company but different person Provider as WindJ. I was not able to demo any chair the provider was too far for me to travel without extreme pain so the Rehab sent their vendor as my Provider to my house. The Provider and my Rehab evaluator will work together by email fax and phone to get the correct seating and chair for me so I do not have much ...

Permobil rep comes this week, my C300 so far has performed perfect. It's quiet and tourqey. A great dental chair, lol. The Jazzy guy had his chance but his lack of follow up has ended his chances. Months ago when he heard I got a used C300 I think he knew he was done.

TerryLou http://www.pridemobility.com/quantum/RTS/index.asp http://www.pridemobility.com/quantum/powerbases/in dex.asp The first link is the order forms and good reading as to what we are suppose to do and know. The second link is Pride products. Take your time and look over what they have and questions that you might have. Terry when I looked at the order form I got really confused but...

Just to clarify, consumers aren't intended to know all of the information on order forms. There are a lot of technical, clinical, and funding information on order forms that is understandably beyond the knowledge of most consumers -- and, truly, anyone who's not an ATP/RTS, as well. It's great for consumers to know as much as possible about products -- which is what this whole web site is based ...

Windjammer replied 3 months, 1 week ago
I am totally hearing you Mark. It is overwhelming to say the least what is on those forms. but it gives you questions and some idea of what to ask. I think it can give you a direction to go in. There are so many different chairs out there. The paper work is a night mare. End users should know that instead of complaining about how long it takes and I wanted this not that on my chair. Many end ...

Windjammer, the two surest ways for a consumer to know exactly what they wish is by comparing primary specifications and actually trying products. It's certainly well within a consumer's understanding to know that Group-24 batteries give greater range than 22NF batteries -- we have articles on it! -- and certainly trying a wheelchair in one's own environments truly tells the tale. Thank you.

Mark I copied and pasted what you said about re-programing the attendance control to my rep. He said he will send someone down and re-program my chair. The rep says Thanks and now his tech has the solution to the attendance control. He did not know about the flexability of removing and plugging it in. And thank you Mark for the armrest purse. LOVE IT BIG! I can go threw door with out getting hung up. You do know I did get it under the...

hi mark did some moreresaerch. i see motion concepts offers what they call a system seat loop/handle kit. i found it offered for severail chairs includeing the q 6000 z with the ultra low power tilt/recline. but i did not see it listed for the q 6000z. so do you no if it is avalible on the q 6000 z. i can not see why it would not be offered as the 2 chairs are basicly the same. the only differance is thw weight rating other than that they spec...

Mary and Warren (from the place I got the chair) came out and did some tweaking so it's running much better now. The factory settings for speed levels were not right but it's ok now. Went into Melb last Thursday coz I had to go out Paraquad and it was easy peasy,...

Timm, you can check the auto store to get invertor with few outlets, you can use your charger plug into invertor.. I recommend keep the engine running while invertor full power to run your charger going.
