Sunday
Hiking ~7 miles. Started at 9,000 feet elevation, went up from there - breathing came hard.
I'm starting a cross-country drive tomorrow. I should be able to squeeze in a few gym workouts over the next two weeks, but the plan is to take it pretty light - my shoulder's been bugging me for the last three or four weeks and I want it to finally get better. Plus, well, I'm going...
Saturday
Back home from the roadtrip.

Monday
Various mix of stuff today. I tried out one-arm snatches for the first time, working up to 50 lbs with either arm. It wasn't too difficult, but I wondered if it might be a good idea to wear a bike helmet when doing these, at least till I figure out the balance a little better
Then I did a few sets with the sledgehammer, 2 X 10 flips with the tire, and "loaded" a series ...

Still sore, and none of this helped, but onwards and upwards to deadlifts tomorrow afternoon.
No deadlifts for a while Not off the floor, at least. I reviewed the videos from last weeks session, and I was off thinking my form was good - I don't think it's entirely a strength issue, as even with a 135 pull, I just can't maintain a neutral lower ...

Wednesday
I had to squeeze in a lil bit more.
Power Cleans
5 X 2 X 120 - Easy. I split jerked a couple of the reps too - no press out, no effort Reading some of the discussion in Jonathan's log helped me understand how the bar's initial jump off the shoulder works, and why the press can work even when my wrists aren't quite flexible enough to fully grasp the bar while it's...
Saturday 12/19/09 Fred wanted to deadlift, so we deadlifted to start off. I only went up to a double at 200kg, working hard at using lats/upper back to keep the bar nice and close to the legs on the way up. We did some keg pressing - I've gotten lots better at cleaning them, but pressing them still sucks (can't get much leg drive and keep stable). I hit a 160lb keg a couple times, and cleaned but couldn't press the 180lb. Then...

Great lifting Ralst (and Emilia!). Good form throughout, and particularly on the squats. No question of depth on your's Eric! Just thinking about your bench....have you tried edging your grip in? Because your overhead is comparitively so high to your bench, you might find a narrower grip (closer to what you are doing overhead) might increase your bench, and simultaneously increase your overhead with improved lockout strength....
That's a very impressive Axle press ralst And the yoke walk sounds like my kind of fun Nice! _________________ buzz wrote: looks like BEACH SEASON IS UPON US!
