I am not on cyan, I am on xrom, but aren't there things you can do to help. Change to the standard keyboard, turn of predictive text, spell correction, word completion. You may already have these off, but the keyboard with all the different characters for each key would seem to use a lot of resources.

Erm, Iceberg, the phone doesn't have a DVD reader, nor can it play .VOBs, so you will indeed need to convert DVDs to MP4 to play them on Android. Late night last night?
