Yes another thread for an ECU tune haha. But anyways, I just recently did some research on finding a tuner in Canada and I actually came across a company called "3S Autosport". They are based in Vancouver (even better!) and they are mobile, which means they will come to your location to do the tune. I did email them and they are in fact using the "Singh autosport" ...

Honestly I think at the end of the month. Yeah I'm local so they'll be able to do the tune in person which is a really big reason I'm choosing them. But I've also ...

It absolutely can be detected. If you are worried about warranty use the Carlsson tune, as they will warranty everything voided by the Mercedes...

I am pretty sure that they need to open the ECU, on their website they dont mention that they can ...
I've also heard that our cars need to have their ECU physically opened up. Another member here reported that when he received his ECU back you could tell that it have been pried open. My dealer already told me if they see an ECU with pry marks they can/will flag your car in the system...
Still considering doing it, but I'm waiting for the Kleemann headers to become available before ...
Just an update guys. Advance Motorsports in Coquitlam here is doing PowerChip ECU tunes for about $800. PowerChip claims 18 or so hp and tq gains. (Not sure exactly, check the pdf for details) Here's the PDF I got from them a while ago: Mer0386.pdf
Yess I can feel a diference, mainly betwEen 3500 and 6000 rpm's.. What I noticed most is better gas milage.. Its only 20 hp gains, its not much, but for the $$ how else you gonna get 20 true hp.. Think about it Quote: Originally Posted by I am Jeff Can you give me a heads up on whether or not you feel the difference after you break in the ecu? Thanks in advance!!

Low end torque / delay / 0-60 / 30-100, and just how the car feels in general. I am interested. How about a before and after dyno to put avoid any subjective speculation/data . A true objective data point that everyone can understand and rely on would be to see the change on same dyno.
